GGNB 2015 New Student Orientation
GGNB held its annual New Student Orientation on Tuesday, September 22nd. Incoming students attended an introductory presentation from Dr. Carolyn Slupsky, Professor and GGNB Chair, and heard from representatives from UCD’s Student Health and Counseling Services and the Graduate Student Union. Assistant Professor Dr. Christine Stewart also presented on the Designated Emphasis in International and Community Nutrition, and orientation closed with a graduate student question and answer panel, which mostly consisted of members of our GradSAC committee. A delicious lunch with faculty and continuing graduate students followed, and the whole day was a success! We would like to thank all participants, but especially the GradSAC representatives and other GGNB students who took the time to sit on the orientation panel, and our GSA representatives who helped coordinate and cater the lunch.
