Research Interests
Dr. Zivkovic’s research centers on precision nutrition, with a particular focus on high-density lipoproteins (HDL) and their roles in inflammation, immune regulation, and neurodegenerative disease. Her lab develops innovative methods to isolate and characterize HDL and other extracellular particles, revealing critical insights into their structural and functional diversity. By examining individual responses to targeted dietary interventions—including omega-3 fatty acids, fasting, and microbiome-modulating compounds—her work aims to advance the science of precision nutrition to enable personalized strategies for disease prevention and optimal health.
